Chaga mushroom ( Inonotus obliquus) is a type of fungus that grows mainly on the bark of birch trees in cold climates, such as Northern Europe, Siberia, Russia, Korea, Northern Canada and Alaska. Chaga is also known by other names, such as black mass, clinker polypore, birch canker polypore, cinder conk and the sterile conk trunk rot (of birch). 실로 오랜만에 이 동네에서 발견하기 어려운 희귀한 차가버섯을 발견했습니다. 가지고 간 가방에 넣기 위해 여러 조각으로 나누었습니다. 크기가 제 머리보다 크고 상태도 노란 것이 아주 좋습니다. 항암효과에 있어서 타의 추종을 불허하는 버섯입니다. 주로 혹한지역에 제한되어 있으나 어쩌다가 미 동부에서 발견되기도 합니다. 이 정도 양이면 1년내내 차가차를 끓여먹어도 됩니다.
