As the weather has grown milder lately, the shaded forest path has become icy from the snow melting and refreezing, making it easy to slip if I’m not careful. Still, taking each step cautiously becomes its own kind of exercise, and staying alert keeps me sharp.
After walking diligently along the forest trail, I turned onto a sunlit path, only to find that it had its own hazards. Some spots were so melted that the ground was muddy, and in other places, the round fruits that had fallen in autumn were scattered everywhere, making it easy to slide if I wasn’t paying attention.
I couldn’t help but marvel at how such a small forest path could offer such a variety of hiking experiences. With that sense of wonder, I finished my long-overdue walk.
